The train does not wait for you.  It’s a lesson Sally Unruh learned from her time working in New York City while juggling a family and a job.  Although it seems an obvious fact, the simplest daily tasks can bring the biggest revelations. That time of hustle and bustle taught her to overcome the small situations and control her own destiny.

Her tenacity began even earlier than the train encounters, when she informed her parents that she would be moving to Dallas right after college. Her parents would not allow her to move until she had an interview lined up.  So, she promptly secured one that got her the trip to Dallas, then 12 more interviews after she arrived. She headed back home a few days later to pack for her first move and job at J. Walter Thompson agency. Then, she spent the next 20 years negotiating broadcast TV contracts in Texas, Kansas and New York. That was indeed the first major transition that would shape her future.

When she’d had enough of the corporate hustle, she decided she would try her hand at real estate.  After all, it required the same dedication and expertise she had been building for two decades. Her clients would need an advocate; a strong negotiator and someone who would help them transition in the next phase of life. Her focus in that area has earned her numerous Westchester Magazine’s Five Star Real Estate Agent Award.

When she isn’t turning complexities into solutions and getting ahead of the train, Sally enjoys reading on her patio and gardening, and hopes to one day see the Northern Lights and to visit Portugal.  Her simple desire, however, is to remain humble and kind, and “do the right thing every day”. Her work as the Solution Agent has led her down the track that allows her to fulfill this goal on behalf of herself and her clients.
